I need to know which number to really pay attention to when I see this--as fed or dry matter basis?

"This recipe contains 1.00% carbohydrates on an as fed basis and 7.30% on a dry matter basis."

I’m still not 100% certain what was used in making The Chart everyone here references but I’m fairly certain it’s dry matter basis. So use that.

normally websites (like Chewy) give Dry Matter Basis calculated using the Guaranteed Analysis and The Chart calculated using Typical Nutrtional Analysis so the results will be a bit different (TNA calculations are more accurate but GA are close enough)

Dry Matter Basis uses math  to remove the water from the food so all foods can be compared on equal footing. Otherwise foods with extra water would seem to have a lower amount of carbs

I hear you, but I have always followed Dr food list carbs and the calculator I send you a link for, neither have ever failed me, Corky’s SS and Remarks on what I daily feed proves itself,:bighug::bighug::cat::cat:
