Thumper just went through a pretty bad case of pancreatitis. We had been feeding FF classics with no problem, she has always had a good appetite. She is doing a lot better but I am having to jump through hoops to get her to eat now. I have been searching for other foods & came across Merrick Before Grain 96% chicken & turkey. Does anyone know about the carbs and fat in these? The vet mentioned lower fat food so I'm also wondering about that. Anyone have any other suggestions?

I started using Before Grain about a month ago. I fed Baxter the beef which I just recently took him off because I think he is allgeric to it. He won't eat the turkey. There were a couple of ingredents in the B4 Grain that I questioned. He lost a couple of pounds on it because he wont eat as much. I now have him back on Blue Buffalo WIlderness Duck he eats so much better.
The calulations I found were this:
Before Grain Chicken:
% Cal from Protein-31
% Cal from Fat-67
% Cal from Carbs-2
% Protein as Fed-9.99
% Fat as Fed-9.1
% Carbs fed- 0.68

Before Grain Turkey:
% Cal Protein-65
% Cal from Fat-34
% Cal from Carbs-1
% Protein as Fed- 47.75
% Fat as Fed-10.2
% Carbs as Fed-0.68

I didn't come up with these numbers. I found a link a long time ago with them & saved it.

Good Luck!
