Hi everyone,
Is Carageenan as a food additive really bad? I see that it potentially can trigger digestive upset, so wouldn't be good for cats with these disorders or IBD. But is it bad in general, for all cats?
The food I'm looking at uses a small amount in their food from a natural seaweed source. The brand is Lily's Kitchen.
Advice would be much appreciated. Many thanks,
Amy.

The only way to know how it will work for your cat is to try it. ECID - each cat is different.

Thank you BJM :)
I've tried him and he seems fine, but just wondered if there was anything bad about it health-wise for an otherwise seemingly unaffected cat.
Hoping it's OK as I've ordered a fair quantity of food with it in!

The concentration may make a difference too. If it is in the product, you want it near the end of the ingredient list.
