I was about to log back in a week ago to thank everyone again for their help and post good news but have been stressed and am once again at a loss as to what to do!

This was my last post :

After taking everyones advice, Geesh was doing amazingly well. His sugars were mostly under 200 and some days, he didn't even need insulin. I took the curve numbers to my vet and he was so happy and said it sounded like he's starting to regulate. I jinxed myself :(

I had to take him to my grandma's house because my brother came home with his dog, who wants to kill the cat so they can't be together. He only stayed there two days but I noticed once Geesh came home, his sugars rose. I don't know if it's connected but I don't know what happened to make his numbers skyrocket. He's been home six days now.

I now test him before every shot and for the past six or so days, they've been all over 450. That's the low end. I've followed the instructions to test, feed then shoot. I've been feeding him the FF classics but he's not a fan of the chicken so I try to mix it with other various classics I found on the list I've seen posted here. Once I started integrating other classic Fancy Feasts I've noticed its gone up. Once again, I don't know what the direct cause is and if different varieties could change his sugar. I HAVE NO CLUE?!?!

I will attempt another curve when I'm free this weekend.

Does anyone have any advice or clue what's going on? I'm not sure if I should ask to change the insulin or if I need to adjust the dose. This is so overwhleming at times when you have no idea what you're doing. I don't know what I would do without this place!

I don't have one created but I'll start one. With my work schedule and needing another person to help test him cause he won't sit still (I do his paw), I can't get a midcycle until Saturday. Should I wait until I know that to proceed? I'm just worried because my vet will be on vacation starting Saturday so if anything needs to be changed, it'd have to be tomorrow. He was 571 this morning.

If you want to increase I would do 1.5, but please do a curve Sat when you're home. Can you get another reading before bed tonight?

It's not weird to have the numbers go up from stress but it is strange it didn't go down. Could she possibly have a UTI?

He just got his shot (about 8:50 pm)...how many hours should I wait to check again? He is now at 453.
Is there any sure signs I should be looking for if he has a UTI? He's peeing and pooping in his box as normal and nothing looks out of the ordinary.

I'm just about to go to bed but I just checked and it's down to 367 after two hours. He also had food leftover from after the first test/shot and he finished that up about an hour ago.
