Can't make sense of BG readings

Can anyone take a look at Zhoom Boy's spreadsheet and tell me what you think? I just can't make any sense of it. I know that I am not testing a lot right now (Zhoom let me know he needed a little break) but it still seems odd that his lowest numbers are at his am preshot. Does anyone know why this would be?

*I will be doing a curve on Saturday.

Is there a specific reason you're doing SLGS instead of TR?

Doing TR would allow you to increase as often as every 3 days instead of waiting a whole week.

When does he get his last feeding at night?

I was wondering if I should increase the dose sooner. He gets fed at 9:30 am and 9:30 pm along with his insulin. I was told by some other people to feed him smaller meals more often. I plan on trying that out but I just finished transitioning him to a new lower carb food as well as a dose increase and didn't want to change too many things at once. I don't know if I can do the TR with my schedule, but I can read about it more and see.

There are late nadir kitties.

Glad to hear you are doing a curve on Saturday. You are wise to pause on any other changes during a food transition.

Strive to time your tests so that if you step back a bit and look at your ss there are not any wide open spaces in time lacking data. You would be surprised where a kittys BG can go in a short period of time.

The more varied the test times from day to day the easier it will be to determine onset, nadir and duration -powerful inflammation

Hi Charity! If this is your first post on the LB&L forum - WELCOME!

Nice job on your SS, avatar and signature! You've gotten some great advice from the above posters so take your time and let's see if the food brings those numbers down. I would hold that 13% for times when Zhoom needs a boost - as it's considered a medium carb. Hopefully the 6% carb will help get those numbers down.

Looking forward to your next post/condo. If you could please set the title up like this:
10/25 Zhoom Boy AMPS ###
You're allowed to post one condo per day and then add to it as needed. Others will visit and make comments thru the day/night.

Also, for your next condo, copy and paste the url from this one into the first line. You can use the little 'link' tool in the menu to put it behind text if you like.

See you on the forum :bighug::bighug:

Thank you for the good advice. I will try to get some more varied readings.
