Canadian Insulin OTC Cost - Help, Please!

For all the Canadians in the Niagara region of Ontario,

I'm near Buffalo, NY, and considering crossing the border to buy Lantus (pens or vials). Does anyone have a recommendation as to which pharmacies may have the best prices?

Hi Christine,

We are in Toronto so can't tell you specifically about Niagara but we found our local Loblaws grocery that has an independently run pharmacy within had the lowest price. It is a large chain so maybe you could call.

Costco I hear has good prices but I don't know.

I used to live on the Canadian border in eastern NY (St. Lawrence Region), and I believe Shoppers Drug Mart always had good prices--it's been 10 years since I lived up there, though. Hopefully some Canadian members will stop by. You could always call around and ask before your trip, too--I did that with the pharmacies here to find the best local prices on Lantus.
