Can you miss shots?

fluff is on 1.5 units of caninsulin twice a day.

Personally I don't think she needs it - we caught the diabetes very quickly and she seems absolutely fine now - and she HATES getting injections.

Anyway to the point. If we need to go away for a couple if days, will fluff be ok? If not then how do you all manage to get away for a holiday, even s short one?

I don't fancy the idea of a relative stranger trying to give fluff an injection.

Are you home testing Fluff? If you can learn to do that, you'll be able to adjust or reduce her dose based on proof of her numbers rather than instinct. For us, when we go away, Roxi goes to boarding. They're not able to test her because she bites people she doesn't know well, but they are able to give slightly reduced shots which is much healthier for her than getting no insulin at all for several days. Alternatively, you could see if there's a vet tech in your area who might be prepared to come to your house to give Fluff her shots.

1.5 units is pretty low. But you didn't get other history. If I stopped dosing Leo, he would go into the 400s and 500s - very unhealthy even for a short period.
