Hi everyone!

I feel like Heff's dose of 3.25 to 3.50 (eye balling is tough!) is too high, but 3 units BID doesn't seem to be enough. His Fancy Feast food is the flavors mostly 5% carbs or less and I think the EVO Chicken is 2%. I switched his treats from Nature's Instinct (it has HONEY!) to 100% freeze dried meat (turkey or chicken)--he gets those either with test or shot.

I know we need to do a curve--why can't I have a snow day and stay home all day??

Any advice or suggestions is appreciated.

I will say he is actually back to sleeping on my sisters bed--which he hasn't done in years, is drinking FAR less and peeing FAR less than he was 2 months ago. His appetite is as voracious either--but he can always eat.

Hi Laura

Yeah eyeballing suxs but here's a trick that works to get a little more consistency. For reference...top being the area closest to the plunger handle and bottom being towards the needle. Instead of lining up the bottom of the plunger with the bottom of the 3u line which would be a true 3u try lining up the top of the plunger with the bottom of the 3u line that gives you approx 3.25 or at least a consistent dose to call that.

I'd try that first and see if a little more consistency gives you more stable numbers.
