Shes been on 1u Lantus for 7 cycles now and doesnt seem to be settling down on the bouncing. She seems to eat somewhat better as long as I feed her 1oz at a time and at different times during the day (at least today anyways). The other reason I am looking for someone to look at her spreadsheet is because it seems to me that she isnt running a typical Lantus curve, atleast she doesnt seem to be at her lowest point of the cycle at +6 and I wanted another opinion (or more) on that,
Thanks

Hi there!

You dropped from 2.0 to 1.5 to 1.0 and maybe that was too many too big drops in too short a time even though she wasnt eating properly.. Now that shes eating better, maybe you want to increase by 1/4 unit to 1.25?

We try to open only one thread (aka "condo") per cat per day. This board is big and active. It helps to have everything in one place so you can reference it later. Just make a note in your subject line that you have a question and people will respond.

I'm going to re-post your question in Sandy's current condo and reply there.

Hi Dani & Sandy,

I just looked at your SS and agree with Wendy: it looks like you dropped your dose by too much on several occasions (we usually adjust the dose in .25 increments) and didn't wait 6 cycles before making another change. Also, you have to be ready to accept inconsistent numbers when you are just beginning to use a depot insulin like Lantus. It takes time for the shed to be established. And every time you make a change in dose, the shed has to readjust.

I see that you have another condo opened for today. We try to open only one condo a day and put all questions and successive posts into that condo. If you have more than one condo open, people may not see that you need help. It is much easier for everyone to have the whole day's worth of data in a single condo.

Everything will get easier as you go along. I hope one of the very knowledgeable people will be along to help you get your dose straightened out.

Ella & Rusty

p.s. I see that while I was writing this Sienne has already responded.

Thank You for responding anyways I always appreciate hearing that things seem normal especially since I am new to this!!
