Can I celebrate?

Thai's numbers have been slowly climbing (I think she is messing with me on purpose) but we are still under 100 BG and have been 14 days OTJ!!

Are the climbing numbers and indication that they will keep climbing or is BG just random sometimes?

Just remember that BG's fluctuate all the time. If she continues to stay in the greens then yes you can celebrate! But if you notice that she is steadily climbing and going and staying above 100, you may want to see if there is something else going on that is causing this - such as food, illness, dental issues?

Just remember your meter is your friend and trust your instincts.

Dusty's numbers did a slow climb after achieving OTJ and then finally settled down. You're looking good!

Similar story here. Saoirse's BG numbers might be lower if I could find a slightly higher carb food that agrees with her (pancreatitis still an issue :( ). There are times when her BG spikes but thanks to the data I've gathered over the past few months, I know tha the spikes are caused by going too long between meals, iffy food batches, or stress (e.g. trips to vetty bean). The rest of the time she's in the normal BG range (thankfully!).

Go Thaiger! Congrats on day 14. :D

Congratulations. Just keep doing what you are doing ie low carb wet food, keep weight stable and try to avoid steroids and Thaiger should do great. :D

Congrats ! My two kitties are both OTJ , both love dry food but pretty much only eat FF classic. We will give them a little Young Again to give them their crunch fix. However as time goes by its easy to become more complacent and allow a little more hard food here and there. We switched to EVO cat and kitten and we starting to be a little more generous with it until I noticed Dasher starting to drink a little more water. A quick BG test revealed a 110 , my cats have not been over 100 not even close other than when they seen my suitcase out and I know the 93 I was seeing was stress related as it quickly came down.
So now after a smack to the head that I gave myself and hubby we're all back on track and numbers are back into the 70's & 80's.
I've lear a great lesson with this and wanted to share . Congrats again!

Sometimes there can be a bit of a rise while her body is adjusting to being OTJ. But, how is her stress level? Has anything off cycle for her? Stress or ill ness can produce elevated levels. Do a sort of mental evalution of the past weeks and see if there is anything that might have stressed her out. Good luck from Jane and Stewey
