Hello,

I have a male cat who has diabetes and I am currently giving him ProZinc 40 units per ml. I give him 3 units 2 times a day. I've been giving him insulin since he was diagnosed in 2004. He is healthy and active and although his blood sugar is still on the high side (200-300), he seems to be fine.
My question is: can I buy this insulin or another similar from the Internet at a reduced price? I have to pay about $120 at the Vet's and it's getting terribly expensive.
I live in the Minneapolis/St. Paul metro area and don't know what to do.
If anyone has any suggestions or ideas, I would really appreciate it very much!!!

Thank You!

Cheapest price I have found was at This place ... however they've changed the page now, and it says it can only be sold to vets (before it said prescription required and had to be shipped to a vets office..which my vet wouldn't agree to)..... Perhaps you could convince your vet to order it for you, mine wouldn't do it (even though I asked to split the difference evenly).

eta: I'm guessing purchasing over the internet would be just as costly simply because it would need to be shipped specially (refrigerated, likely next day or 2nd day?) And even the site I linked above may ... and probably does...charge that extra amt. to the vet for shipping.

Did you check 1800PetMeds? Done a Google search? Prices shift all the time.

If you were on Lantus, I'd say drive up to Canada!
