Hello, all. I rarely post and just listed this in the Lantus group - maybe this is a more appropriate place to post?
Here you go and THANK YOU!
We are doing a blood glucose curve for Todd today, he's 14+ years and has been on Lantus for over 2 years. He only eats wet food, one can morning/one can PM. Lactulose for constipation (which I know can affect bg). And then 1 tsp pumpkin, AM/PM.
However, we leave out plain chicken broth/no sodium 24 hours a day because of constipation.
When doing the glucose curve today, we didn't leave the broth out as we normally do.
Does broth significantly affect bg levels? I wouldn't think so, but I was curious about the experience of others. Thank you!
