Cami 1/13 update

She is riding numbers at just about her do not shoot number so she got a tiny dose this am on a 130, but was in the 90s yesterday so no shot. I have been gone during the day (and sick with a cold so not wanting to interrupt my sleep) so she isn't getting any spot checks.

Last night she got on the sofa for no reason (I wasn't eating anything) and lay down for about 10 mins. That is a first. She has gotten up a few times when I was eating dinner and watch TV because she wanted my food and lately she has been fairly polite about it (not lunging for the plate or growling at Beau who is ALWAYS there hoping for a treat).

Knock wood/anti jinx) she has gotten the peeing under control by using a LB or the pee pads that I have inside a dog crate pan on the floor - except she pees near the edge of that and has gone over the edge a couple of times. Now I have pee pads going over the side and propped up with roll of left over vinyl flooring I had on hand. So far so good. I have also been reducing her prozac dose so she is back to 1/4 tab daily. And, lastly, I think the litter I decide to switch to is what she and the others prefer as they hardly use the other boxes with the old litter and the corn litter I was trying (which is Nature's Miracle brand and is crap, if you ask me. It does NOT hold a clump for more that a about 30 mins). So I will switch them all to the one litter as I dump out the other kind.

She was 167 last night, so I shot .1u trying to bump her back down. She was 105 this am, so no shot. Unfortunately I need to leave in a few minutes and won't be here to monitor her. I suspect she may climb from there and end up above her do not shoot number before I get back.

She got on the sofa again last night and lay down on the middle cushion - that's one cushion closer to where I always sit. This morning she came into the bathroom when I was getting ready for my shower and started purring the instant I patted her head. So I picked her up and sat down with her. She purred and purred for about 20 mins! I was stuck there, half undressed in the freezing bathroom with her on my lap, but I did not want to put her on the floor. I waited until she was ready to get down. If I were keeping track of cuddle time, I think that would be a record for lap cuddles.

And she purred through her morning testing and even being pilled (prozac) twice because she spit it out the first time. She is so cute when she is purring. And she squeaks when she wants food now instead of the screaming/crying she did the first month or so. Now she has two nick names: Cam Cam and Squeaker. I also think she really likes Cameron better than Camigwen.

Yes- cuddle time is worth it!

Sneakers gave me cuddle time last night after her vet appt. I knew she really wasn't feeling well after all that she went through so I was glad she came for some mommy time.
