Calvin crossed the bridge today

My precious old girl Calvin is now in Heaven. The pain in my heart hurts so bad. Calvin was my old girl and my civie. She was getting older and getting more health problems. She went downhill very fast over the last week. My husband and I helped her over the bridge to end her pain earlier today. The pain we are going through is unspeakable. She slept in our bed for the last 16 1/2 years. Can't stop crying right now and I don't know when I will. Just wanted to update some people. Thank you everyone for your support.

oh alice. how sad. I am so, so sorry for your loss. I have no words that would comfort you right now but know you are in my prayers. you were such a good bean to calvin and all your furries.

Oh ((Alice)) I am so sorry. I was really hoping the lump would go away and she would be well again soon. It is so hard to love them so much and have to set them free, but that is the final gift. One we have a hard time to give and to live with. But she knows how much you and your DH love her. Fly free sweet Calvin!
And I hope Sebastian is doing better.

I am so very sorry for your loss. Calvin was a handsome boy, and is surely a beautful kitty now in Heaven. May God bring you comfort and peace now.

I'm so very sorry for your loss. I know just how empty that bed will feel, Yittle spent every night of his life in my bed with me just like your Calvin did with you.
 
I'm so very sorry for your loss .. I can feel your pain through the post you wrote and it brought me to tears. It is unbelievable how much room these kitties take up in our hearts ...
 
Oh what a pretty girl!!! I am so sorry for your loss. I understand what you are going through....if it's any consolation...it does get a little easier each day.
 
I'm so sorry for your loss of your sweet Calvin. We lost our sweet Tobie Joe (age 10) on June 29, 2009. I know it doesn't help you much right now, but we know about the sorrow and longing in your heart. Take care of yourself. Calvin loved you.
