Callie Mae is having a party!!

Well, I think I am going to say it officially. Today makes the 15th day since Callie Mae received any insulin!
And to think, if I wouldn't have found you guys, she would be up to 15 units by now on that high carb crap from the vet.
Words can not express the gratitude I feel towards all of you for helping me get Callie Mae right where she needs to be.
I would like to see her a little more settled in the green, but she likes to hang out in the upper 90's to the real low 100's. Maybe she will eventually. All things considered, I think she is just fine! I don't necessarily check at amps/pmps times, but I try as close if I can.
She wanted me to let you all know that she LOVES the freeze dried salmon and chicken. (She tries to snatch the bag when she see's it!) And she is happy that I have learned about a species appropriate diet.
Overall, she looks, acts and feels better than she has in a long time. She looks like she is slimming down a bit. I can almost make out a cat body when I look down at her. She is playing more than she has in a LONG time and her coat hasn't been shinier, softer or smoother since, I can't even tell you. Probably ever. She's been on that dry her whole life. She's never had a chance at being her best. Till NOW!!
I don't want to turn this into a book, just wanted to send out the invitations for my OTJ Party!!

Especially since we're only going to be in the 80's today. (Last 4 days 98-99 and humid)

Yipee!!! I was just thinking about you & Callie Mae this morning, wondering where you were. Thumper keeps me on my toes so much I sometime think I've missed something. I'm so happy for both of you!!!! Don't go away though, we would miss you. It is amazing the dose she was on & now look at her. drinking24

I have seen you post over on Health for newbies whose vets started them on high doses. Your experience and success are so valuable for them to hear! Thanks for doing that.
 
I'm grateful to have the story to share!
Without this board, I never would have known the importance of diet and home testing. You guys are the biggest part of my success.
