Calley just projectile vomited all over the place. Her numbers are going higher, not lower. What the heck is going on with her?

Can her insulin be losing it's potency?

Help.

i don't know kristin but she did go down to 103. maybe she's bouncing? i'm sure someone will be able to tell u what's going on. good luck

Yeah it was nasty alright. :( I'm wondering if she got into the other cat's dry food. Either that or I have managed to contaminate the insulin some how.

i'm not sure i would worry about the insulin since it brought her down to 103 but being that low she probably did have a big bounce and she did go back to 277.

I don't understand....why would Calley be bouncing from the 103 low....when that was two days ago?

i know i have read here that it takes different amounts of time for cats to clear a bounce. i'm sure the more experienced here will tell you exactly. hang in there. :YMHUG: :YMHUG:

Thanks for the support. Calley's numbers are going higher in the evenings after insulin. I don't understand it. I thought insulin was supposed to bring down BG. ??!

You cant depend on the numbers after vomiting, especially not after projectile vomiting. Props numbers dubbled in just no time. Never give her more insulin when shes higher after vomiting, because then she drops to low.

The vomiting was way after I did Calley's testing so her high bg numbers were caused by some other factor I think. Yeah....I don't give more insulin when her numbers are high. She only gets her insulin twice/day.

If she continues to run inverted curves then try reducing the dosage. She should rise for about 3 hours until onset then drop to nadir and be back up again by the next preshot.
