Calley vomited....yellow thin stuff and lots of it

She vomited at AM +7......did not look like food....but more thin and watery. I am doing a curve today so she hasn't eaten since 8am this morning so I don't think it was food related.

She tested at 8am AMPS at 412; + 4.5 at 267; at +7.5 205.
 
Really sounds like IBD....

I know the vet said they would not rx steroid due to the diabetes, but that is what is needed to treat IBD....Budesonide is gentler than some of the other ones out there. Skooter is on it and is maintaining his numbers very well on it (knock on wood)....I have also seen a lot of people on here using Predisonlone......

Sometimes you have to treat the other illness and supplementally treat the diabetes (ie trade off of treating IBD may mean a higher dose of insulin for diabetes).....

Skooter has lead a very healthy life while on his prednisone and now budesonide, and we are almost off insulin as well....
 
I can check with vet #2 and see what he thinks. But if neither vet will prescribe it, I don't know what I will do.

I'm sure she is starving she can't keep anything down.
