Cali is home

Don't know if I told this part over here but did on community.

So quick recap. While Cali's people gave permission for her to be put to sleep they would not come to be with her so I went and held her one last time. When they were asked if they wanted her cremated or did they want her body to bury the daughter literally said "Just dispose of her by throwing her in the trash" both my vet and I found that unacceptable so I paid her cremation fee and just picked up her ashes. Her urn now will sit next to Musette and Onyx on a shelf in the pass-through at the new house. And the new rose garden will contain 4 new rose bushes. The blue rose taken from Muse's grave. The pale pink one also taken as a cutting from Musette's bush, the yellow taken as a cutting from Onyx's bush and the new orange/yellow one for Cali.

but u gave her love and dignity. roses...wow! i want to do a rose garden like that in memorial to family, pets, friends. how beautiful. i dont have ashes tho, it would jst be the roses. hmm. when money allows, what a great idea! so glad cali had u!

So sorry to hear Mel. Sounds like Calli had a better end than she would have done without you. You gave her love - wish Calli could have know it for longer but at least that was her last experience of human kind :sad:

Such a sweet idea to have roses to remember each of the fur babies. I echo what everyone else has said. Cali was so lucky to have you and Jon love and care for her, so she could go peacefully to the bridge.
