I hate to sound so ignorant...but I know I am.

Is this the syringe I want if I'm using a u40 insulin and giving partial doses? (I know to use the conversion chart. It's printed and ready for the fridge if I can get the right syringes to use.)

Thanks in advance for assistance. I would hate to buy the wrong ones. :-x

Yes, that is correct. You are NOT ignorant, great for the double checking....have you tried the walmart prices? I found them very very affordable.

Thanks!

Figured I'd order my first batch online as my local Wal-Marts are not known to have...um...knowledgeable help at the pharmacies, and asking to speak with the overworked pharmacists doesn't go over well. If I have what I want, I can take the box in with me to get the same size from them for the future. :-D Some do better with pictures, ya know. ohmygod_smile

Yes, those are the exact ones I used for Smokey, who was on PZI Vet (U-40). That insulin
is no longer available.

I was very satisfied with those syringes.

Fantastic! I've ordered them so I should have them by the end of the week. Can't wait to be able to give more accurate doses than eyeballing the u40. :-D

To make it even easier - this is what you want to get:

U100 syringes, with 1/2 unit markings, 30 or 31 gauge and ask for short needles. Some pharmacists may insist you need long needle, but trust me, ask for short needles and you will find it much easier to administer - not to mention the cat won't even notice the shot.

Once you get the syringes, put it up against your U40 and you will see the huge difference in needle size.
