I'm forever running to WallyWorld for my ReliOn Prime strips. I have to put an order in at ADW and heard I can buy the Arkray tests strips that are the same for the ReliOn Prime (both made by the same manufacturere, Arkray) 4 boxes + 1 free box for $45.99 (about the same price of Prime strips from Walmart - 5 boxes for $45.00). Can someone who knows about this take a look at this link: http://www.americandiabeteswholesal...-vital-test-strips_4027.htm?source=SiteSearch and tell me if those are the strips that will work with my ReliOn Prime? Thanks!

I use the ReliOn Prime and I simply order the test strips online from Wally World. Haven't had any issues. If I remember right, you get free shipping if you buy 6 at a time.

OM Gee...I just noticed the Walmart link at the top of the page! I'll shop through that link!!! And check to see if they carry lancets & needles... Thanks!

If you order from ADW you need to also get the Arkray Vital meter. The strips are not interchangeable.

I'm not crazy about anything but the price of strips with the Vital/Prime.

I have both. The Vital is a more rugged meter, I certainly like that one much better of the two.

I have ordered the strips from ADW for my Relion Confirm and they work just fine - just got my 2nd order this week.

I believe there was a discussion on it a month or so ago.
The meter is the same, just one is branded as Walmart and 1 isn't so the strips work.

Do a quick search on the forum for Arkray strips.

The Relion Confirm is golden. Confirm/Micro/Mini/Gluccard 01 all use the same strips.

I like this meter group vastly better than the cheaper Relion Prime.

You'd think Arkray would have done the same with the Prime/Vital meters, but someone spent extra money to make the Prime/Vital strips incompatible with each other. :-x

I use the Prime and have no problems with it--its easy to use, requires little blood and the strips are super cheap. My vet tested my Prime against his meter and there was little difference (234 vet v. 203 prime). I started out with a TrueResult; my vet tested that one against his and there was a big difference (419 vet v. 343 trueresult). I've heard from several people, as well as my vet, that the TrueResult reads lower BG's pretty consistently but in higher BG's it tends to read low. I ran a test on my Prime v. TrueResult when Gobby had a low BG (under 100) and they were close. I have the TrueResult as a back up, though.
