Having troubles sleeping - and had to check.
Bud was 211 at AMPS shot .5 and was 136 for +3! I think that looks great! Looks like hopefully headed for just about a perfect nadir today. A good reward after a tough night.
Beth do you have any thoughts about using U100 syringes? Info on that can be found in the PZI Sticky. They can be bought from Wal-Mart too in the areas that allow purchase of diabetic syringes without Rx. You just need to the the 1/3cc short needle ones with half unit markings.

Yup.. looked at the info on the 100 syringes last night whilst waiting on Bud's 30 min testing. I agree. I have to call the vet for a script for that? I don't think my vet likes me much. :roll: It was "the people on the internet that said the ReliOn was good" that did it, I think.

When you get them print out that conversion chart and post it somewhere obvious [like you fridge]. Check and double check to make sure you got the conversion right.
Yea, you vet will most likely REALLY not like you if you tell him you want to use U100 syringes with U40 insulin. Vets and pharmacists tend to get a little freaked out by that one.
By the time your vet knows you'll be several weeks down the road using them and you SS will hopefully look awesome and he'll have no recourse but to say "well done."
Nobody likes being disintermediated by the Internets. :smile: Look at Borders or Blockbuster!

Will print and laminate and put on fridge right beside the "emergency instructions" I put there before her 1st shot!
Finally got her avatar figured out! She really is a wonderful being.
Spousal Unit has been working on repairing the walls of the garage and Bud's always there with him. Actually, she's there any time anyone's 'working' on something. We refer to it as, "Bud Bud's helping"

beth bud bud's is soooo cute, and a helping hand too??? 
you really need H/C wet as that dry kibble takes much longer to metabolize during a hypo heading situation.
wet comes in 18 carb in FF
also did i say OMG at that amps after all that H/C you thru at him last night. this cutie is doing great. is he a steroid kitty by any chance?
