Can you shoot something between .25u and .5u? If so that's my recommendation. I'm hoping you can get back to Wal-Mart soon to get the right u100s. That would allow you to shoot .3 or .4u reliably which would be my suggestion [probably .4u is what I would recommend if you were using the U100s].
 
I just wanted to point out that you had nearly the PERFECT drop from PS to PS in this range of PSs [about 30 points]. And also a very acceptable nadir. Normally you would want to continue that and you would give the same dose that you just achieved that on. But you are very new and it is night and I just would like to be a little on the side of cautious.

You should read anything you can in the newbie checklist draft about "variable dosing" and also look at Robin & Harley's spreadsheet.

Yea, hopefully they are not opened. Even if they are I bet they come in packages of 10 - they do sell those 10 back so I'm sure they could figure out some way to swing taking most back??

BTW your education of this is going light speed so if you feel a little overwhelmed by the knowledge that's to be expected. Just pull up your chair to the fire hose and have a gulp. ;-)

Ask wal mart for:
U-100 31 Gauge 3/10cc 5/16 inch Needle 1/2 Unit Markings
or
U-100 30 Gauge 3/10cc 5/16 inch Needle 1/2 Unit Markings

Print out and take with you if necessary.
 
We'll see how it goes but it's looking like that might not have had enough oomph. You can always give a little more [up your dose a hair] tomorrow morning if needed.

Yes all depends on where she ends up. If she continues to go down from PS to PS then do not up the dose.

I've found that dose increments [especially in the range you are in] as small as 0.05u can have noticeable differences.
 
I just did +6

Got 352... retested, didn't know if I had enough blood. Got 248 and then retested got 227 all within a minute. Last 2 had enough blood.

Yea, ya get a 'crazy' reading - retest. $5 later in strips you will hopefully have it figured out ;-)

Clearly tonight's dose was not enough. That's fine you can always increase the next cycle.
 
Well the idea is that they can have up to a 20% error difference between tests. I would consider that 350+ as a 'crazy' so ignore.

Hopefully Robin will be around when you do AMPS. As you know, I will not be since I'm on different time. :smile:
 
k... I'll not worry about these... will increase the does in the AM if ##s are appropriate.
