Bucky has a 46 @ +12. Am I supposed to wait an hour or two then retest? His dose has been down to .38 units. Is it time to lower the dose again? Thanks!

John, here's the link to the Handling Low Preshots Sticky. The section you want is a bit down the page. Ideally you should stall for 15-20 minutes, without feeding, to see if Bucky is on the way up.

And yes, it's time to reduce the dose again. Any chance of getting some more mid cycle tests? Even a "before bed" test will give us a better idea of what is happening with Bucky's nadirs. Lantus dose changes are based on those nadirs.

I know I haven't done a lot of mid spot checks but it seems like his nadir is around +4. Does the nadir time fluctuate?

Yes.
Bucky can change his nadir on you.
The only way to know from day to day is to have some mid spot checks...

Congratulations on the dose reduction. Looks like he is on a mission to be in remission....

The nadir can definitely move around. I want to echo the need for some spot checks. Bucky may have been in dose reduction territory well before now.

Ok, bought another 50 pack of test strips. I will spot check if it will get Bucky to remission faster. bcatrun_gif
