Bubba Dental Day, Saying Goodbye to Forrest

Don't worry about Bubba, Tigger hasn't had any teeth including FANGS for years - you almost can't tell! And we couldn't do anything to prevent it as he has some kind of genetic degenerative bone disease. He's actually much happier not in pain. I wish we would have learned about it sooner - After the first major surgery like . . . 10 years ago, he was a different cat! He stopped attacking us and started purring for the first time ever!
 
We never really let go, do we.
They are always with us...never far...in our hearts always.

I am so sorry to know that it was time for Forest to leave. I can imagine all the fun he had living with Bubba and the bond they shared. May you and Bubba be of great comfort to each other and carry on together in Forest's name.

I'm so sorry to see this Bobbie, it seems so unfair, Forrest had such a loving and caring family :bighug:. It is an impossible situation, seeing your beloved kitty decline and yet watching for signs their body might yet rebound. My heart goes out to you, I've always felt that any decision made with love for your kitty is always the right decision :bighug::bighug:

I am sad to hear that Forrest has journeyed to the Bridge. It was his time, but it is never easy for those who love him. I'm glad that he passed peacefully in your arms, and I know that the GAs at the Bridge gave him a beautiful welcome. Bubba needs to grieve, too, and he will help you remember all of the good times with Forrest.

I just saw this today. I'm not on the Board much anymore.

I am so very sorry to learn that it was Forrest's time to cross. I know how dear he was to you and your family, and what wonderful care you gave him, just like Bubba. He knew it, too. It was so kind of the vet to suggest Bubba be part of the sendoff. I've never heard of that before, but I love it. Forrest was surrounded by love and familiar faces, and isn't that what we all want when it's our time?

I hope you are finding comfort in your good memories of Forrest, and in the love and sympathy of family and friends. We are all here for you.:bighug::bighug::bighug:

I'm not coming to the board very often, and I was sad to read this today. It sounds like you and your little guy had the sweetest goodbye one could wish for. I hope that has soothed the ache in your heart.
