OT:
Got out of court faster than I thought so had time to go get mom her favorite pecan pie from our local bakery.
My friend’s son is very very lucky. Instead of 40 years to life, he is looking at 6-12 and he’s satisfied 18 months all-ready. His lawyer asked the judge to postpone the formal sentencing for 60 days which was granted. That gives him 2 more months to be near his mom since the state facility he will finish up at is far away.
He is excited about the rehabilitation that is provided on a state level and to be able to go back to school while he’s serving. He will truly turn his life around. My heart is full of happiness and hope. As is my friend’s.
