Good Morning L & L ~

Started off in greens again. Fingers crossed. I was surprised since he gave no deposit in the LB yesterday.
I need to get back to trying to brush his teeth again now that the hairball throwing up stuff seems to be behind us.

Vines to all Beans and Kitties in need.

OT: My friend, Margie, picked up some more supplies and the worry and anguish on her face is heartbreaking. Her flight has been post phoned by the airline to Oct 5th now ( it had been the 1st) Her parents were able to contact them again while they were trying to get gas. They have to travel 45 mins to get the gas and wait in lines for 7 hours to only be able to get 20 dollars worth. They told her they were out of bottled water and none to be found. Her mom's last words to her were "Hurry"

My heart breaks........Margie feels guilty eating and drinking............... :(

That is so horrible. The airlines really need to be more helpful. Hopefully they can get supplies distributed to those who need them. Sending prayers.

Bubba is looking good. :D

Looking good Bubba and good luck with the teeth brushing. Luckily Leo being a kitten is pretty good about it...although an 11lbs at 8 months  More prayers for your friend and all of PR.

Oh Bobbie your friend must be just frantic! I was actually pretty surprised that there are airlines flying in to PR (or being allowed to land). DH and I got caught in a hurricane in Mexico many years ago and we had trouble flying out after because the airports were without hydro so there were no security systems.
Nice numbers this morning Bubba!

Praying for your friend:bighug:
Bubbas looking great in :D:D
Bobbie I think today is 9/29;):D

I would guess they are keeping the airports free of traffic except for transport planes and staging area for relief supplies. They are having issues getting supplies that are staged just off shore or now delivered out to the communities that are in need because of the conditions of the roads (debris, flooded cars, power lines down etc.). I heard this morning that they have started air drops of water and food. They were unable to get the ships into "port" and unloaded because the ports were severely damaged - no docks, no cranes to unload (etc) but have finally made some progress in that area. What a cluster f.

The pictures coming out are just shocking. We (hubby and I) have often talked about living on an island (in relation to a hurricane). I have always said NO way. There is no where to run.

Bobbie is there anything we can do - now that we have a few days to help? I imagine that cash will be king - along with necessities like water, food, diapers, toilet paper, etc. But your friend can only "carry" so much.

Ah Lizzie, you are sweet! Yes, she has to pay for extra luggage, the third one 51 lbs - 99 lbs is 100 bucks more but, she will be packing as efficiently as possible. They need what they need.

When she returns with her folks and small dog, they will need to find a place to live. Right now Margie lives with a friend for the 6 weeks she is here but that won't be possible once her folks are here. I can imagine that $$ will be an issue for her once they return.
