Good Morning L, B & L ~

Wasn't expecting that number, did it twice. He did get the de-wormer last night and this AM was formed harder poo and sloppy poo in the box so apparently his tummy is upset . I just hate giving these toxic chemicals to the cats but worms are not good either. I just read on line that if a cat shows gets some diarrhea after Drontal then there was likely a small infestation . Something is going on in his GI track and it seems this is the best place to start with. Forrest had a blow out diarrhea mess all over him this AM too.

Note to self: If I ever get another cat it will not be allowed outside.

Gotta go clean out 2 litter boxes.

Vines to all Bean and kitties in need.

Oh that sucks Bobbie! And here I thought I had it bad cleaning vomit out of our new house's carpet the last 3 mornings in a row. But I can say I'd much rather deal with that then liqui-poo, especially if there may be worms there (shuddering). I've always been afraid of letting my cats out without supervision, partially because who knows what they might pick up. I hope the infestation gets cleared right up and Bubba gets back into nicer numbers. :bighug:

Be gone worms!!!!!!

Strick indoor cats get them also. I had one and she got them once a year. How, who knows and she was the only one who did out of 5 cats at that time.

I know you don't like the chemicals but revolution will pretty much keep them gone or at least keep them from heavy infestation. An you won't have the blow outs.

Ewwww, poor babies and poor you too. Worms give me the heebie jeebies. Hope they clear up soon and life can back back to your normal. :) :bighug::bighug:

Sorry about the mess!!!
Looks like Bubba has come back down, perhaps he's geelfee better already.
Like Paula we use a topical treatment that does fleas/ticks and internal parasites, stronghold plus, I think it's similar to revolution. We don't use it every month vet recommended using it ever other month so we alternate it with a regular flea/tick treatment. In the warm months (Frontline comno). I've preferred this to having to pull them, and haven't had liquipoo issues with it.

Yo BOB youz needz to readz da label on da mice's,
Makes sure dey are worm and carb free, Mice Zero, is best.

Well, you are correct that indoor cats can get them too, especially if they get a mouse in the house like Bubba has done down in the basement. The Revolution( only hook, round, and heart worms) does not take care of tape worms unfortunately, and that seems to be the worms my guys have had repetitively. All it takes is for a flea to jump on them and the cat to groom it off before the Revolution can kill it. sigh........

Hi Gill! Hope you had a nice summer and hope your garden did better than mine. We had rain, rain, hot, hot, more rain, hot, hot and more rain. It was the poopiest summer I can ever remember.

Yes, we use Revolution but as I was saying to Paula, Revolution does not target tapeworms; it only targets hook, round, and heart worms. And of course tapeworms seems to be Bubba's worm of choice.

Yes, he has started to come down and hopefully, I can get the AMPS down again too. Two steps forward and one step back.

How is George doing? And the droolers and new kitties and of course you???

Hmmm glad you posted this. I had been using Broafline previously which is a topical treatment that doe treat tape work as well as other internal parasites, bit after some investigation I can see that the strongjstro plus doesn't, even though vet told me it did, why oh why do we have to keep checking up on these things ourselves... tae worms are an issue here, so I'll be using Broadline from now on.

The crew are great, droolers too. Keep meaning to post a condo, bit with limited time have felt it more important to visit and help with the limited time I've had, feel guiñgu about not visiting with some of our old pals........

Our veg has been good though our toms, eggplant haven't been as good as last year, we had a cold Spring so they got of to a slow start. On the plus side beans, peas, cabbage and zucchini have been great, as have melons, potatoes average.

How's your harvest been? Busy preserving?

Neither the Revolution or the Frontline we can get here targets tapeworms. sigh.... and with 2 very skilled hunters eating infected rodents , tapeworms are ongoing........

Glad your crew is doing well. And so glad BFG got back OTJ so quickly after his dental extraction. This time on the juice for Bubba has been 13 + months. ugh. It really does get harder each time they lose remission. I am in awe of the peeps like Coral's mom that she just had 4 years at the falls. It is so wonderful considering just how fragile remission is.

Our garden did not get planted until early July as it rained and rained and our property was a quagmire. So, everything was late. Beans did not come to fruition. We got a nice amount of zucchini and I made 2 batches of zucchini pickles plus ate lots of zucchini grilled, steamed, sautéed and made zucchini bread .

And now we are still ( me ) picking tomatoes. Looks like I might be able to make one batch of green tomato relish. This was a weird year with the weather and I never had enough tomatoes to pick and process into sauce at any given time. I did manage to pick about 5 lbs once and made a nice roasted tomato soup. Buts that's okay as I still have quite a bit of frozen sauce from last summer in the basement freezer.

Early spring we had lots of nice asparagus for 6+ weeks to enjoy. Also I made rhubarb jam and made a few pies and then flash froze some. And then the extreme heat came followed by a ridiculous amount of rain and the rhubarb died down. It's starting to come back so I need to pick some before frost and get it in the freezer for later. Did your MIL give you some jam to bring home?

Give BFG a high five from Bubba! :bighug:
