Good Morning L & L ~

It doesn't seem like Bubba is feeling well still. His appy is iffy and the ONLY way I can get him to eat his raw turkey or chicken is to sprinkle flortiflora on it. However, if offered YA dry is eats with gusto. HIs + 3 number is higher than it should be......

No poop yet today, hoping for a normal one. No diarrhea since Thursday . Yeah. :joyful: SEB and Florastor is still on board.

Vines for Beans and Kitties in need.

Bubba feel better. Ya gotta eat and not just the kibbleo_O

I wonder if he would eat rehydrated freeze dry food.

Are his teeth ok? It sound like a texture thing vs tummy but that just my opinion.
He just had a dental cleaning, no extractions on 9.10 and his teeth were all good. He will eat dry YA with no problem, but I only give him 1 tbsp. a day ( at 2 AM meal)

What ever caused him to start with the vomiting back on 9.21 ( I think it is IBS flare, hairballs, constipation, then diarrhea) I believe caused him to have a food aversion to the raw after he threw up a few meals. JMHO. He will eat the raw but only if I sprinkle it up with the FlortiFlora or crush YA and sprinkle on top. :banghead: He's killing me. o_O

I feel your pain, Bobbie. Radar did a similar thing when he barfed up raw chicken - at 2 am no less -with a hairball back in June..... no matter what I did, he wouldn't touch the raw and I thought I'd looosseeee my mind. :banghead: So I fed him other things most of the summer and crossed my toes that he'd go back to it after a "break" of an unknown amount of time. Two weeks ago, I tried a tiny amount of raw chicken and he ate it all. Now he eats his raw quite happily. So maybe Bubba just needs a break and then he'll go back to his raw. ???

I hope Bubba feels better soon.

Thanks Jan! I appreciate your input and have been wondering if I should just give him a break from the raw. What did you feed in the interim?

I fed him a lot more Tiki Cat - egg and chicken with the purple label is his favorite. I also put chicken dust made from Pure Bites and Orijen Wild Boar treats on top to entice him to eat more of it. I gave him some RadCat Turkey but he refused to eat more than a couple tablespoons at a time. I suspect that the "fattier" turkey meat made his tummy upset if he ate very much of it at a time. I also tried Primal rabbit and pheasant too but he wouldn't touch either of those :( I wish you well as you play "the buffet game" with Bubba. I hope you can find something relatively quickly that he will dig into with a kitty smile.:cat:

Thanks Jan. It is maddening isn't it? From what I am reading, turkey is lower fat than chicken. And so the Buffet game begins.

Dehydrated food tends to make constipation worse from what I learned on IBD forum. Add at least 1 tbsp of room temp water to every feeding. If it's a motility issue try egg yolk. Raw or baked.
I am all ready adding 1 tbsp. of water to each of his 6 mini meals a day which is over a 1/4 cup of water a day. How much egg yolk?
