Good Morning L ,B, & L ~

Bubba pulled an all nighter last night so consequently I did too :banghead:
He went out after dinner and did not return. Shaking the treat bag did not bring him home. I even took a can of FF outside and stood in the field and popped the top hoping he'd hear it and come running. Nope!

Finally Daddy got dressed at 4:45 AM and went out to look some more. He got to the barn and Bubba appeared! He was hungry and BG was 75. I fed him a tsp to tide him over and then fed and shot early. And then he wanted to go back out. NOT!!

Needless to say, he is grounded. No more evenings outside

At the vets with Forrest. Some constipation issues. Hopefully an enema will help.

The bean is tired!

Vines to all Beans and Kitties in need.

Bubba loo what are you doing!! Glad he got home safely, must have found some tasty little mouse out there...........nice numbers and hope Forrest is okay.

Still at the vets. It's not a constipation issue. The cyst around his left kidney has gotten huge! They did an ultrasound and showed me. Vet is trying to drain the cyst now. There are bleeding risk.

Say prayers for my boy. Please.

If Porto could have free access outdoors, Im sure he wouldnt come back, in days, maybe not even for food. Im glad Bubba returned!! Does he act the same during winter time?

Prayers and vines for Forrest!:bighug:

I’m glad Bubba is home safe. My cats all have to be in before dark, too much wildlife out there!

The vet was amazing. She showed me how big the cyst was and was basically filling up the abdominal cavity and pressing on his colon. Usually you can't see the kidney and the colon in the same US view. She was able to get 200 cc of fluid out of the renal cyst ( that is the equivalent of 3/4 of a can of soda, so about 6.76 oz)

He should feel a lot better and want to eat now and hopefully the diarrhea was only because his colon was being pressed on. I really thought it was constipation issues as he slowed down with eating, and had diarrhea twice since Thursday morning and that is usually when he is all backed up and the diarrhea goes around the blockage. The x-ray showed a small feces piece that should not be a problem with passing. She wants me to call her Monday and tell her if the diarrhea continues she will give him an anti diarrheal but for now and because he usually has chronic constipation, she doesn't want to go that route yet.

As soon as we came home he wanted to eat! Yeah!

Bad Bubba!
I hope Forrest is feeling better...poor baby.

Oh , Bobbie , I’m so glad u got Forrest to vet and got that drained !! Amost 7 Oz of fluid :woot: Poor baby :bighug: Glad he is better and got such quick relief !!!

Yay! What is the cyst? Glad it was able to be drained and appears to be giving relief :bighug:
It's a renal puedo cyst. It was discovered in the earlier part of the year. We had to go to the IM vet for US of it. He told me that they could be drained if needed but would fill up again. Not sure how fast it will refill. Hope it takes a long time to refill so he gets relief for a while.

Deputy Bubba!!!.....Do we need to increase your "on duty" hours at the lagoon to keep you out of trouble?? No more disappearing or I'll put you to work!! ~Lagoon Meisterin China

SO glad that Forrest is home and feeling better! That had to be pretty uncomfortable!!

Oh wow Bobbie! What a day it has been! So glad that Bubbs is home, onery little sneak! And hate to hear that Forrest has a cyst but at least maybe the draining off fluids will make him comfy and improve his issues! Just now able to check in on the board today!

Shame on you Bubba for making ur mom worry
So glad Forrest is home and feeling better :bighug:
Get some rest Bobbie

Ravan was recently diagnosed with stage 2 kidney disease. He started leaking urine when he sleeps & just lays down. I'm concerned he might have had damage done from a Cystocentesis.

Hi Bobbie,
So happy that Forrest’s cyst could be drained and that he is feeling much better.

Bubba, listen to the LagoonMeisterin! She needs you on lagoon duty, not mouserling in a barn!
I can remember hours walking around outside shaking Stu’s dish. And finally he would emerge from inside a bush not 10 feet from thr door!
Rusty never roamed the way Stu did.

Have a good weekend!
