He is eating in full swing. I might not give the pain meds. If his BG's continue to get better that will be my barometer as to whether he is having pain. I won't let him suffer, but I feel like you, they are hard on them. ( and constipating)

Amazing how quick they bounce back huh? Luci had two teeth extracted last Spring. Poor thing had her tongue stuck out for quite some time - and we didn't realize it was a sign of bad teeth! Duh! By the time we got home from Florida she had blood coming from her mouth - rushed her over to the vet and they said they'd need to put her to sleep just to examine but they suspected a dental problem - and they sure enough found two badly decayed teeth and had to remove them - stitched up her gum - and she was home eating her FF the very next day - and so happy to be home! I feel for you and Bubs! Glad he's back at home and eating well...
I had remembered that from last time so I erred on the side of caution and lowered his dose.
