Good evening L, B, & L ~

It's been a long time since I posted and I haven't been on much at all. First, Bubba is doing well. He wants to go outside after breakfast , but still isn't staying out much longer than a 1/2 hour since it is still in the 40's that early. It's okay by me as I won't worry as much with with running wild.

My Mom is improving slowly but surely. Still doesn't have a lot of energy, but she is 92 years old I have go remind myself.

I found out Sunday that a friend of mine died Saturday night of Covid19. She was 64 years old and had been in a nursing home for about 3 years due to some health issues. So very sad. This virus is so scary and I hope that everyone here is healthy and safe.

And hearing that Bubba is doing well is good news. We could sure do with good news these days.
I’m so sorry to hear you have lost a friend with Covid 19. It’s a terrible virus. Killed so many people. We have been very lucky in Australia. Our Govt acted really early and quickly and we have only had just under 7000 cases and 96 deaths in the whole country. We were able to close our borders early. We are now starting to come out of lockdown and hoping the cases don’t increase.

Bron, I am so glad y’all will be coming out of lockdown soon. It sounds like your govt had a good handle on containing it.

I hope we can come out of lockdown soon. Small business are folding up around us. So very sad. It’s becoming a real mental health disease as well

Glad to hear from you. How is Bubba and his mousing? Your mother has more energy than I do, glad she is doing well.
 
Thanks for checking in Bobbie, so happy to hear Bubba is being Bubba! I'm very sorry about your friend, it really hits home when someone close succumbs to Covid. NJ lockdown has just been extended for another 30 days minimum :(.

Hi Paul! I just saw that on the news that you will be 30 more days. Ugh. I think we might be loosened the end of May. I miss my grandchildren! We were just starting to see them often for about 2 1/2 months when quarantine started. It’s all very surreal!

Hope you and yours is doing well.
 
Good to hear Bubba is doing well! So sorry about your friend...the nursing homes are not good places for our elderly and this disease. They're just so vulnerable. My condolences to you and her family.

Good news that Bubba is doing well and that your mom is, too. So sorry to hear about your friend. Nursing homes are definitely not the places to be during this pandemic. I worry about my 96-year-old brother, who is in an independent-living facility in Houston. Texas seems hell-bent on lifting restrictions.
Here in NY we are lucky to have Gov. Cuomo, who is awesome. NYC continues to have new cases, but the death toll is steadily going down. We are grateful that our state is being super cautious about "opening up". Saving lives by social distancing and staying close to home is the only tool we have to combat the virus until a vaccine is available. Essential workers should not be asked to risk their lives just because someone wants to open up a bar, or a movie theater.

I'm sorry to hear about your friend; it is indeed a scary virus.

Bubba, you are doing such a good job of taking care of your wonderful momma and supporting her through these challenges. You take care of each other, don't you? You're a very good kitty.:cat:
