Good Morning L & L ~

A little higher this AM but right after he ate he gave a nice deposit in the LB so could be why as he's been slowing down with the pooping lately. I just increased the boys Egg Yolk Powder from 1/4 tsp twice a day to 1/2 tsp twice a day. As per Foodfurlife I can go as high as 3/4 tsp twice a day.

Vines to all Beans and Kitties in need.

Will just re-post this here

From foodfurlife re: Phosphorus content in the EZ Egg Yolk

The amount of minerals relevant to CKD in the recommended amount of egg yolk (1/4 teaspoon of powder twice a day) are:

Phos 14mg
Calcium 4mg
Sodium 2mg
Potassium 3mg

I bought some and gave it to Gizmo for a few weeks(?) - it really, really helped with his hairballs but his phos level on his next BW forced me to discontinue it. I have no way of knowing if it was the EZ EY or some other factor (food) that caused it to go up but it was quite a spike.

Thanks for posting that Lizzie, after I posted the link I should have said that it is high in phosphorus for CKD kitties.

;) We make a good team :)

Went back and looked at my notes. I gave the EZ EY for about a month (December). He had his first hair ball since discontinuing just this week.

Egg Yolk Lecithin is suppose to have the same benefits without the phosphorus that is in the actual yolk. I have not tried it.

The egg yolk lecithin is something that Foodfurlife told me about in an email the other day. Good to know about no phosphus.
