Good Morning L & L ~

Status Quo for the Bubster. Liking these lower blue AM and PM numbers and hoping he'll decide to bring them down to greens.

We are expecting another storm. :rolleyes: Hope we get missed......

Vines to all Beans and Kitties in need.

OT : Forrest did really well last night. His back legs only slipped out from under him twice and this morning he is walking really well and so far no slipping. Also, he made it down the stairs into the basement on his own last night and this morning he made it up the stairs with no problem, so I am very optimistic that his nerve problem will be fully healed now that all that poop is out of him. Looking forward to the vet calling with the BW results and hope all is good. Meantime, he is grounded along with Bubba so I can keep tract of him birthing the last high poop that remained after the enemas.

Oh what we do for these babies. That was an expensive poop problem ! But so glad that is wasn't something worse. Thanks again for all the prayers and comments. I felt the love! :bighug::kiss:
 
Somehow I missed your update yesterday so just getting caught up now! Poor Forrest! Happy he is doing better today!
When Allen got very constipated about a year ago one of the meds we tried was Cisapride. The dosage was 3 pills a day. When he got constipated again late last summer we restarted the cisapride but we recognized that even before he actually pooped he seemed to feel better after getting the pill so with Dr Larry's approval we left him on a maintenance dosage of one pill each day. I also give miralax and pumpkin however pumpkin does bulk up the poop so if Forrest is already having large poops it may not be the best thing for him.
 
Bubba is looking good. I'm glad Forrest is doing better and hope he gets rid of the last of the poop. Sending prayers.
 
Yay for Forrest doing better! Man, you learn something new every day here in L&LL, that's for sure. I thought I knew everything there was to know about cat poo, but now I also know severe constipation can pinch a nerve.
 
Forrest updater: Vet just called and all his BW looks great!!! The only thing we will do different is increase his thyroid meds a tiny bit as he was the high end of normal in Feb and now that he has lost a bit more weight, we are going to increase and see if he will gain back a bit of weight. And of course, give him the miralax daily again. Big sigh of relief............

Gosh, constipation seems to be common on the forum. :rolleyes:

I'm so glad Forrest is feeling better. Rex is still doing great and back to his greedy ways of stealing other cats' food if they don't eat fast enough. :facepalm:
 
Oh wow. I missed everything with Forrest. What an ordeal! I am so happy he is doing better and the blood work looked good.

I hope you miss the storm. They keep increasing the snow totals for us. Yuck!!!

You know, Paula, I always said that I wanted to do that in my next career. And I just might train to be a Doula after my mom no longer needs me. I always said that I loved the birthing process and I would have kept on having babies if I didn't have to keep them and raise them, LOL
