Good Morning L,L & B ~

Bubba's ears are much much better. I will stop the steroid ointment; last night was his last application. I have the Halo Cloud Nine Salve now if his ears should get red again. We are back to ear testing and he is allowing me to touch his ears so I know they are better. He has today and tomorrow with the AB and then that's done.

Now that his ears are better where I can test more, I will be increasing his dose as he is slowing creeping upwards. Might wait to see if no steroid ointment helps with the numbers. The vet didn't think the ointment would impact the BG's significantly. Last night was a pudding poo so the AB could be affecting his tummy despite the Florastor that I am giving him routinely.

Happy to hear that Bubba's ears are better. I must look for that Halo salve; hopefully it's available in Canada.
Not sure when you started with the steroid but Bubba's numbers have been up these last few days so I would wait for a few days before increasing.

I hope you can get the salve. The man at either Petsmart or Petco ( can't remember which store) said that the Canadian stores carry it.

I am thinking the same thing about giving it a day to see if the absence of the ointment helps the numbers.
 
I used the Halo on Olive's ears. She scratched the one up and I can only test one ear (occasionally can get the other) and it gets pretty banged up. Anyhoo the Halo cleared everything up in 2 days. This little jar is going to last a lifetime though.

I've got another jar coming from Amazon around the 5th of December. So, if anyone needs one............
 
After reading about the Halo salve, I am ordering. Sounds like good stuff! And I am ordering the Halo ear wash also, for Idjit's chronic ear irritation. Hope it works as well.
 
Woohoo for healed ears.

There are no Petco’s in Canada and the Halo salve is not on Petsmart Canada’s website. Bummer. :mad: Now I know what’s on my next cross border shoooing list.

You can get it on Amazon or Chewy but don’t think you can get Chewy deliveries.
 
So sorry that Bubba's ears were all raw, and that he ended up with looseygoosey stools, but the Halo discovery was a huge win for so many - I think a hearty "thanks" is in order to Bubba for bringing the info to the surface! ...pun intended! ❤
