Good Morning L,B, & L ~

The diarrhea has stopped for 2 days now. YEAH! But, then last night Bubba didn't want to eat his PM +3. Lots of coaxing on Momma Bean's part and I finally had to open a can of FF and he ate. This morning was a repeat. The first FF I offered had the Florastor in it and no go , so I gave some more without and he ate it, but still not with a lot of gusto. Maybe he is depressed from being on house arrest.......

I had a FS yesterday AM which left me reeling and searching for yet another video on shot techniques. The new one I found tells to let go of the skin tent once the needle is inserted to lower the risk of shooting through the skin which is what I seem to do when I have a FS. It made sense to me since Bubba doesn't have a lot of extra skin to tent up. If anyone is interested in the shot technique .

OT: Forrest did great post dental! He never missed a beat to eat and I did not give any of the bup they sent me home with since he is a cat that suffers with constipation.

Vines to all Beans and Kitties in need.

That is a lovely AMPS for having had a fur shot! Way to go, Bubba!

Thanks for sharing the link. I recalled your tent/let go technique and tried it this AM. I can see how it would be helpful.

Glad that Forest came through with flying colors! How's DM doing?

Bobbie have you tried shooting in sides just past the shoulders? I never tent, I part the fur and just push needle (short needle) in, it can't go through the other side.

Good luck with your shot technique. I have to say that needle was super long in the video!! I hope that was a U-40 insulin because that was more than 5 units.

Glad to hear Forrest had no issues with his dental! :cat:

She is doing well with the OT and the PT. She has definetly slowed way down. She would keep on sleeping if I didn't awaken her. Yesterday, she slept 16 hours through the night and still protested when I woke her.
That’s my mom too , Bobbie . We have to keep an eye on them with the heart involved but at their age they both have earned a little extra R&R. We have noticed our DM slowing down too although vitals are good . Sending prayers to you and your momma ... you are an exceptional daughter :bighug:

Bubba, stop pouting and eat your fudz! Maybe then mama will let you go outside!
Glad Forrest had no problem with his dental.
I always shoot Scooter in his sides behind his shoulders. He prefers up high on his sides. I just part his hair and pinch up some skin ( it’s fairly loose right there). I have pretty short needles. I have never gone through the other side. The vet told me when Scooter was dx not to shoot the scruff because it can cause scar tissue???? I know quite a few on her do with no problem.

Sending some "better poops" vines to Deputy Bubba.

Have you tried that new shooting technique? It sounds difficult to just let go when you feel you should be holding onto the skin as you shoot.

Bravo Forrest! What did the toofs fairy bring you?

Poor Bubba :( Have you given probiotic for diarrhea?

I am do happy to hear Forrest came through with flying colors.
Yes, he is getting Florastor and was still getting it when the diarrhea started back up. It's strange because this AM he had a perfectly normal poop, then the liquid diarrhea. Ugh. He is being super picky eating and I had to give him some YA for his AM +6 meal. Got some FF into him for PM meal. Numbers are dropping....
