With all the amazing help that I have received so far on this forum, I'm beginning to understand that my little boy is experiencing "bouncing", since he has BGs in the 400s/500s for a couple of days but then will drop down temporarily to the 300s--only to bounce back up after a BG test or two.
Since this "bouncing" concept is something new to me, I'm trying to understand. I assume I need to get him to stop doing this... and from what I can deduce from the tidbits that I've gathered per responses from my previous posts, I believe I need to keep increasing his insulin doses until he stays low and stops bouncing back up. Is this correct? If not, could someone help me understand how to resolve this bouncing issue? Or is there an info post on bouncing somewhere in the forum? If so, I would appreciate it if someone could point me in that direction, so I can educate myself.
Many thanks,
Amanda
