Bouncing?

I was quite proud of Ruby's sugars yesterday. Ruby is his nickname..don't ask lol.. anyway can someone take a gander at the spreadsheet and tell me if this is what a bounce looks like? thanks

I think I read somewhere where it said to keep them on the same dose for several cycles. I figured I would like him on the 1.5 for atleast a few more cycles to see how he does? B/c if I go back up to 2 again I will be back to square one again? I dunno....

That is correct but what I can’t figure out is why you went from 2 to one and skipped. I think what you are seeing is not a bounce but rather all the different dosing and the skipped shot then means the depot needs to build. Now that you have settled into a dose you keep it for a week and then do a curve.

When an increase is needed you will increase another .25 rather than .50.

Your next dose will be 1.75 if you do need to go up based on the curve after a week.

That is what I am having a hard time seeing. How exactly do you measure 1.75 on an insulin syringe to get the exact dose? I have to hold it up to the light to see the half marks even...lol
. I think I am just still kind of gun shy to the low numbers yet since today makes only a week since I started this journey.

I used a magnifying glass. Some use two pair of over the counter magnifying glasses wearing them on top of each other. I also used digital calipers. You can take a used syringe and practice with water and a few drops of food coloring and count the drops.

Totally understandable. Give the current dose a week and see what it does.
