This is so frustrating. I planned to do a curve today to see where Frankie is at different times during the day when I'm at work. He has other ideas and has decided to bounce. Not clearing quickly either like they have been, so I'll try again tomorrow. If not, it'll have to wait until next week. Someone posted something yesterday about "shooting through the bounce" but I forget what it was. Can you up the dose a bit to clear the bounce quicker?

For the first high of a bounce after going low enough for a reduction, you may "shoot through the bounce" and give 1 more dose at the same level, then start the reduced dose at the next shot. Otherwise, you just have to be p a t i e n t and wait it out!

Ah right. Is that how it works. Patience and me don't really get on. I must try harder.

Perhaps these patience pants will help. Pic from a post by @Deb & Wink

Yes, sometimes our kitties BG readings are every color of the rainbow. Hence, the rainbow patience pants.

Wink had really bad neuropathy when I first got him from the shelter. He was walking completely on his hocks, could only walk a few steps, had a hard time jumping and climbing stairs. Not sure if it was the methylcobalamine (methyl B-12) and/or the regulation of the BG (blood glucose) that helped him to heal but he walks normally most of the time now and can and does jump up on the kitchen counters.

We hope the same healing can happen for your Frankie.

Kitties often have a mind of their own and their steps in this sugardance don't follow our expectations. Another day, another chance at a curve or more test numbers. Hope Frankie can 'get on the same page' the next time you are able to get more BG readings.
