We were gone all afternoon and just arrived home in time for testing and insulin but she is so low I don’t know what do to. She had food available but did not eat all of it. She ate about 2 Tbsp of Friskies Pate now. I really do not know how much insulin to give. 29 or 28 or less.

The point of stalling is to see if Bootsie is on her way up or down at this point. Since she just ate food, her numbers will likely go up and we won't know whether they are going up because of the food, or in spite of it. So, for future reference, if you get a lower number than you are comfortable shooting, do not feed, and post for help.

Can you monitor tonight if you give insulin? Do you have high carb food and plenty of test strips?

I just retested and she is 90 - I have plenty of test strips and yes I can test her all night if need be. I have some high carb food

Shooting a reduced dose now is no guarantee that you won't still see an active cycle, because of the nature of the depot. How long after the 85 was the 90?

20 minutes and now an hour after the 85 she is 123 but she has eaten.
So give her regular dose and test often? Or???

Still pretty flat at +2, hopefully that means a flat night. I'd get a before bed test or test in a couple hours but looks good so far.

Looks like a good night. So far so good. When Darcy did this I would go to bed and set alarms to test at various points during the night (and would either keep testing or not depending on what happened.). Speaking of sleep. I’d better go there now. Stayed up late to watch the news - which is very disturbing.

That is exactly what I did. I went to bed and set alarms for +1, +2 and +5 and then slept until +10, which was 216.
What is funny is my husband had an episode of low BS last night also in the middle of the night - Like cat, like husband - I guess. LOL
