howdy everyone.

Well, as you can see from my ss, Boo's numbers weren't so hot today. Not a true curve as I ended up out of the house more today than I thought. The 415 pmps was probably due in part to the pita chip he stole from my husband a few minutes prior to his test :?

While we've trended down a bit on the 1.5 dose, it isn't nearly enough so I've increased to 1.75

Will try to get some spot checks in tonight and will keep you posted.

hmmmm....I'd probably have been tempted to do the same thing you chose if the paw were on the other leg....although the best numbers you've gotten has been at the 1u....

How is Boo acting overall? Better, worse, same....how about the drinking? Mine drink more this time of year b/c of the central heat drying them out, so that is not always an accurate thing to go by....you still testing ketones?

Keep us posted!

Hi Melissa-

Boo's still drinking quite a bit, but not as much as before he started insulin. Dandruff is getting better too. His spirits are very good-last night was the first time in months he brought me a toy. Appetite is good.

I'll post spot checks on this dose as I can get them

good move, wendy. you'll reach that breakthrough dose soon, i'm pretty sure, based on his behavior.

Wendy, that is one of the wonders of Levemir. It seems to help them feel better, even though the numbers aren't so great right now.

You're doing fantastic, BTW. It's nice to see someone not panicky and not second guessing themselves on either the switch or the dosing. You've had some great advice too and I'm sure that's helped.

Hang in there!
