Boo Radley 10/15 AMPS 95

We made it back last night safe and sound. What a funny, funny trip traveling with a cat. As I've alluded to in the past....Boo's not generally a lovey-dovey kitty....but on this trip...OMG....the stress must have really gotten the better of him because he curled up on my lap the whole way there and even slept in the bed in the hotel room Thursday night. Not one bite, not one whack....truly a feat of all feats!

The stress played a bit of havoc with his bg too, but in hindsight, I think it was probably perfect timing. With the antibiotic kicking in, I was prepared to for some changes to the #'s, but it just didn't happen....Interesting thing that stress...he stayed in the upper 200's the entire trip, but within 30 minutes of being home (got home at +7), his numbers began to come down and last night, at +9....we were at 63!

Glad to be back! Hope everyone is enjoying their weekend

Jessica, glad you had a great trip and nice to hear that Boo seemed to be ok with the traveling. I just can't imagine traveling with either of my kitties because they get stressed too easily. I did have a cat named Shalimar (GA) who used to travel with me everywhere. She would sit up on the dashboard and look at the world as it went by.

Boo's bg sure went down fast once he got home. As Dorothy says, "there is no place like home".

Hi Jessica, what a beautiful AMPS for Boo this morning! So glad your trip went well and so cute with Boo being cuddly with the stress factor. Now you know you can travel with him. He must be so happy to be back home with coming down to normal range. I think Maggie would curl up in a ball and act dead if I took her on a trip. :lol: Thanks for visiting my condo and for the info on the fuds and lb effect.

Welcome Home, guys! Boo did very well. He's a travelin' man now! (Rusty is a so-so traveler. He's done pretty well on our trips to camp this summer, but the trip to NYC is 6 hours and he hasn't done it since May. I expect his bgs to rise, as they almost always do, but this time they are starting higher!! Thanks for visiting us.)
