    Morning.
Blue scared me last night. He was like a puddle of water on my chest. He seems better this morning and ate a good bit of a new pate by American Journey. I'll be glad when the new syringes get here so I don't have to keep staring at the lines of the syringe.

Mogs, no problem. I'm sure you both have plenty of newbies to help out.

    Morning, Patty.

The high numbers can make our little ones feel really pants. I can still see Saoirse lying on the floor looking absolutely poleaxed in the early days of her treatment, so I have an idea of how upsetting last night was and I really feel for you. Both of you, in fact.

    (((Patty and Blue)))

Are you testing at +2.5 today?

We love our furry little ones so deeply and it's awful to see them sick. For me, one of the hardest things is not being able to ask them about how they're feeling, so that we might then be able to get them what they need straight away. Working on observations alone takes so long before you can work out what a problem is - if, indeed, you can work it out at all. Can't tell you how often I would say to Saoirse, "How I wish you could talk!"

We're down to 317. Yay but it did come down pretty fast. That's not a problem is it?

I tell Zoe at least twice a day..:I'm sorry I cant understand you anymore than you can understand me!" Although I see everytime we discuss Zoe her ears go flat. SHE KNOWS the word HER! :arghh::eek::rolleyes::p

Blue's in safe numbers but there's a possibility that it might make him a little sleepy. I'd suggest testing again in a couple of hours just to see where he's at then.

I'm going to be offline for a while (exhausted), but will check back with you later. :)

    @Patty and Blue -

Can you give Blue a teaspoon or so of low carb food to help cushion the drop?

Ok but he had a little dry food in between two tests. He's bathing and getting ready for a nap. I'll see if he'll eat anymore.

Well, it depends on how you count them...LOL

6 upstair cats (Blue and Layla are the only cats I intentionally adopted) I have 1 I found in the middle of the highway when he was a wee bb and weighted under a pound) and 3 I took in as fosters that came from a cat hoarder situation and were sick...very sick. They're still with me so they're mine.

2 downstairs with my mom who moved in with me about 5 years ago

So technically 8 since I feed and vet the 2 downstairs

My daughter (who has MS) moved in right after my mom and she had a Pitbull. She was on the third floor with ”Sissy” who we lost a few years ago.

Loaded question hahaha It's fun...but busy. My mom is 95 and other than bad eyesight she's pretty good.

This is normal feeding times for all my fur babies but should I test again before or after Blue eats?

Yes, I'm blessed to have mom. She remembers more than I do!

I’d test before and then feed as normal. I’m going to the market and will check back in an hour.

Sorry, but I fed him before I heard back. He's napping somewhere but I'll test him again.

Yes, too many babies but I love them. I'd never have so many again. My motto is ”just say no”. They're a hand full. 2 is enough.

He's back "high". I'll feed him some and give him his shot in 30 minutes.

Yes, 8:30 works best. I can get everything done in a.m. Including testing before I give Blue his shot.

I know it's a slow process but it does make me feel bad for him to be high.

    +2-3 tonight?
