I missed this new one. Quick bounce, quick end! What are you thinking Blue? How’s he feeling?

    A thought:

On days when Blue's in higher numbers from a bounce perhaps feed him some extra? He'll need the extra grub while numbers are high anyway and when they start moving back down into moderately high values perhaps there's a chance it might do a little bit to help him regain some weight. I'm wondering whether, if he were to regain a little, it might help make him less bouncy (speculating here).

OMG I fell asleep. Tara was gone and it was quiet. I missed +2 and now it's +4 he tested 68 and I retested because I was shocked. It's either 68 or 73 but it dropped drastically. WOW

    Feeding a little low carb.

Slightly more colourful language was heard round these parts...

Testing at the 30 minute mark, Patty?

I was thinking this might happen. Even if he drops under 50 it’s the depot so another reduction will not be earned.

Is it common? I don't remember Blue having dropped that much before. I'll watch more closely in future.
I figured 545 would take awhile to drop! :arghh:

I think he is feeling better with the amoxicillin and the infection is going away. If I am right that’s causing some highs.

I was wondering similar. Was checking Blue's spreadsheet at regular intervals wanting to find out what he'd do.

He's eating HC now. 20% carbs and the other furs are going nuts. Gimme some!

I thought it was 3:30 but it's only 2:30. I feed him his regular meal at 3:30.

I'd suggest no food at the moment but test again in 30 to make sure he doesn't drop back. If he's OK then and doesn't need any steering, it'll only be another 30 minutes till his regular meal. Sound OK?

Right, Blue. Pay attention. This is a nice healthy and safe number. Tell your HPA axis and your liver not to freak, OK?

That'll do. No food for now.

It's not necessary but it'd be handy to grab another test before you give him his regular feed, Patty. Might give you a clearer view of how long a boost he got from the earlier HC grub at that point in the cycle, the idea being to gradually refine your 'what to feed and when' plan. Unless he's decided to head north again... (((Blue)))

Not too shabby on the 188.

Jinxed myself about the sneezing 'cause it kicked off again last night. I'm very tired. The Noodler is a bit quiet and subdued today, although she did eat a bit more readily late in the afternoon. I'm worried about her potassium levels. They were borderline low for the last two rounds of blood work and a potential side effect of her BP med is to lower the level. Low potassium levels can affect appetite. No way of knowing whether that or the GI disturbance are at the root of the poor appetite but the cypro's not having its usual effect so I think there's something else going on. I have to prompt her to eat most of the time. I wish I could do more to help her. I hope the antibiotics sort everything out this time because she perked up a lot once she was clear of them after the first course. It feels like this course will never end. :(

Will have to wait and see what the results of the next round of blood work shows.

How are you keeping? Are you over the adverse effects of the 'flu jab now?

Do you think it's residual from your cold?

I hope you and the Noodle bug will perk up soon. That's so much to keep up with the different levels. I'm impressed you can do all that.
She might feel better after the course of antibiotics. I'm hoping Blue will too. He's finished in another week. How long for Noodle? How often
do you have blood work run?

I'm still researching a new vet. I clicked on a link from the article you posted for me. I found 3 cat only vets which are not too far away.
I'm thinking about checking them out. It's may be for the best for Blue's care, and possibly the others.

I'm absolutely back to normal. I think all the late nights with Blue finally caught up with me.

I normally get a +2 but not sure what to do with him up and down so much. What do you think?

6-1 now. They are televising in 4K tonight. Sweet!

Do you have 4K? I think perhaps a +3 since he’s been surprisingly confusing.

That's what I was thinking so +3 it is.

Yes my Samsung is 4K but not that many programs are televised in 4K. I think they do all that in order to sell TVs because people (me) think everything will be in 4K. I think if you watch a lot of movies and they're filmed in 4K you'd get more out of it.

Well, it's a bit better but not worth getting a new tv for it. It's on a special channel and what I like is no commercials. LOL
They just show a live scene of the field. A few years ago my TV went out and I had to buy a new one and wasn't happy about it.
I waited for this one to go on sale because a friend recommended Samsung. I think is was under $400. which I thought was reasonable.
