Decent drop from AMPS to +2. Are you planning on doing a +3 test?

I just came on. Sorry you are sick. He might be dropping tonight. Let me look at your ss. Well, it’s not clear. He’s basically flat but clearing a bounce. I suppose you could feed hc now and check in an hour and try to stop the downward trend. I don’t feed comfortable saying he won’t drop at this point.
 
I have never either but am pretty sure that's what happened. I'm starting to feel better. I'm just tired from it all. The fever and headache kicked my butt.
I think I should be ok tomorrow. Someone on Twitter said it happened to him and it lasted about a day and a half. I'll rethink the flu shot after this!!!

Hope you're feeling better. I'm starting to improve.

Yes, I wanted to sleep last night but Blue had other plans. I did sleep from 6 to 9.
Will be napping for sure today.

Blue is now 201 AMPS and I'm about to feed. I guess I should go ahead and give the .75 dose?

201 is a safe number to give the 0.75IU dose BUT first up, are you going to be home all day? I ask because there's no indication yet whether Blue might be building a bounce. Lantus is better at holding down lower numbers than pulling down high ones, so Blue could potentially keep in a much better BG range this cycle.

Also, is Tara or anyone else at home with you so that you could grab naps here and there throughout the cycle and be sure that you will be awakened rather than risking sleeping through an alarm if Blue goes into the greens again (if you get my drift - typing this in a hurry so as not to delay you).

Please can you let me know how you're fixed before making the final dosing decision for this AM cycle. Am monitoring your thread for a reply.

Hi Patty,

I'd suggest grabbing a test at +1.5 today for starters because on some previous cycles sometimes Blue can drop quite a bit by +2. Lantus onset can sometimes be a fair bit earlier than +2 so grabbing the test half an hour earlier may possibly catch any significant descent a little sooner. If there's not much movement by +1.5 you can always test again at +2. I'm around so I can look in on you.

Sound OK to you? When you reply could you let me know this morning's HH:MM shot time and remind me which time zone you're in, please?

Sounds good. Eastern standard and I gave him his dose at 9:45.
 
Blue really likes this dose! Now he just has to start surfing blues and greens when you are home during the day to monitor. Oh and Blue I said during the day. Ditch the pj parties for awhile. Hope you and Mogs are both feeling better.

I wish he would eat from an auto feeder so that you would not need to feed hc at night with a bg at 90.

Not a happy camper. Took car in yesterday for a battery and oil change. Drove home and air blasting and fan won’t turn off. So back to shop. Now they call and say alternator they replaced just 3 years ago defective and fan needs to be replaced. It’s an old BMW but I don’t drive a lot so hate to get a new car but I see the writing on the wall. This bill would have put a nice down payment on a new car.

If my reckoning is correct you're just after the +3 mark, Patty. I'd suggest grabbing a test now. If you post the result we can discuss what food to give next. Monitoring your thread for a reply. :)
