I note that you mentioned that Tabby has only been on Lantus a short time, is there any chance you could fill in the past lantus data into his spreadsheet? We really can't tell much just from one day's worth of data on lantus because of the depot effect. Tabby could be bouncing, he could need an increase or he could be adjusting to a new dose - don't know when you increased from .5 to 1 unit.

The good news is your vet doesn't need to have a clue about dosing now you have found your way here :) the lantus experts tend to hang around in the lantus/levimer insulin support group forum. particularly while you're learning about lantus and trying to get Tabby regulated I would recommend that you post there regularly for dosing advice and lantus tips. A lot of people post daily that way the oldies keep an eye on the newbies and get to know your cat well and can tailor their advice accordingly.

I admire your dedication to your boy and determination to get him on track, we will be very happy to help you :)
