BLOOD! BLOOD! BLOOD!!

Fresh blood has been coming out of Sweet Max's anus...at least 2 hours that I know of. But finding blood all over bed, etc. Can't get ahold of emergency vet, *** ********,********, NY. What do I do??

Can't make the drive to Rochester ER vet.

Please pray for him, and me.

Appreciate your prayers. Finally found a vet...just got home 1:00 am. Despite the steady flow of blood his bloodwork came back OK. She suspects anal gland infection (hoping so). He was given a Convenia shot. He is locked in the bathroom overnight, which is breaking me heart, but it's best for the other cats (he's FIV+), and it will keep the mess contained. I have a lot of cleaning tomorrow...everywhere. Can't deal with it tonight.

Praying he improves quickly. I know how blessed I am having him 9 1/2(?) years as a Type 1 diabetic. I'm not ready. Of course, I never will be. And I have another sick cat I've had longer than him. We still aren't sure what is going on with her.

If I was filthy rich, I'd build a state of the art, 24 hour vet care hospital nearby, and it wouldn't turn anyone away because they can't afford it. ....a girl can dream right?!?

Thank you for asking. I am keeping a very close eye on him. So far, no blood. I am now in the process of making room in my living space for the auto litter boxes. That way, I can keep a better eye on him. We've never used them before, but I'm hoping for a smooth transition.
