Jr. Mint's doing a bit better, however, Sunday morning, I spotted a very bright red drop of blood in his urine (twice), and then nothing for the rest of the day. Nothing Monday morning, either. I did call the vet back, and got him another week's worth of antibiotics to clear this up. He has 12 more doses to go, and hopefully this will finish the UTI off. Hopefully. Otherwise, he's his happy little loving handsome self. Such a sweet guy!

I hope this UTI clears quickly. Did the vet do a culture & sensitivity?

It's good that you are keeping a close eye on him, Angela. :thumbup Did they do a C&S on him when he was at the vet's? Just wondering, because if they didn't, the AB he's on may not be effective against the bacteria.

He had crystals along with the UTI, didn't he? I don't have any experience with that, but I think I've read that it's an ongoing concern to watch...it may be that instead of the UTI causing the blood maybe? Hopefully others with experience will chime in.

Whatever the issue, sending healing vines for Jr. Mint!

No C&S done, and it wasn't suggested by my current vet. Thankfully, he's been an indoor cat all of his life, so it'll be easy for me to keep a close eye on him.
