Was high. 388 at 5:50 p.m. Started her on the Fancy Feast Classic, and will be taking another reading here shortly. Will be calling Mary with results, and we'll go from there. Have to go to the store to get more FF tonight. Don't have enough to last until the weekend.

We knew this reading was likely to be high because of all of the high carb food and the honey she ate over the afternoon to get her up from that 21 she had earlier today. I am glad that the 388 did not panic you :-) I honestly think that with switching Blackie over to only low carb foods, (like FF, or Friskies), it would be safe to start her all over again on 1 unit BID and go forward from there. It is a lot easier to s l o w l y tweak the dose upwards over time, if needed, than to risk another crash like the one Blackie experienced today.
