BJ is adapting very well to all of us and "most" of us to him. He shows no aggression towards other cats and takes handling well, even home testing. This week we will start work on his diet. I think he may already be ok with the canned switch from DM canned. I will also get a few mid cycle numbers just to see where he is but I think too many other changes are going on to really tell what his dose should be and I don't want to overwhelm him with too much testing so soon. So far he is cooperating.

Those yellow pre shots aren't bad at all. The canned DM pate is only about 6% carbs if he likes it (side from cost). The Savory Selects version is around 10% carbs.

I wonder how many online are feeding the DM dry? I am just not a fan of prescription diets - it irks me that you need a script for food. BJ has eaten FF pate and Instinct canned already but I am still giving him the DM dry. Today, I gave canned alone for breakfast - he ate 3/4ths so far. But too soon to go without his dry.

I use Chewy and they will contact your vet for you but I tried to order DM on Sat and of course my vet denied because he has not been seen there yet and no records were transferred yet. Thank goodness it was not an emergency situation. But maybe all for the better if he will eat another non-prescription food instead!

I feed Andy the Instinct canned only and occasionally FF pate - enough variety that he doesn't get bored.
