I have a Relion Micro and was told I could use test strips from ADW. I opened them and the code is 3. My Relion test strips say 4.the meter did read them as code 3 but I don't know if different batches have different numbers or I have a problem. I tested with both and got different results. The religion was 285 and the other 344. How should I interpret this? I only have two of the old strips left and don't be able to get more for several days. Thanks.

Just different batches of strips - as long as the reading matches the 'f' code on the back of the bottle. I buy in Texas, I get 4's, I buy in Okla, I get 3's most of the time. That IS a big difference tho'...hummmmm....

285 + 20% = 342
344 - 20% = 275

So the two numbers you got, overlap in their range and fall within the +20%/-20% accuracy that meters are allowed to have.

You can always average them to come up with a middle number.

You also need to test on the exact same blood drop at the same time and even then you will get variations. It's just the way it is.

Thanks, Deb. The more I learn the more I need to learn. I did use the same blood drop. It proves your point.
